Title: Design Engineer, Architectural
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana (possible relocation assistance)
What you Need: 3+ Years Experience OR Engineer in Training (EIT) with Masters Degree
Salary: $65,000-100,000 depeneding on experience
In this role, you will apply and learn engineering design methodologies, perform engineering design for components and connections, 3D finite element modeling of components, 3D modeling of structures under some guidance of senior staff, performing document preparation in CAD and BIM environments.
Manage staff to successfully perform assigned tasks and coach junio staff as needed
Prepare all work in accordance with approved office processes, formats and standards
Define design and documentation tasks req'd to design a simple building and its components
Perform 3D finite element analysis and design under direction of senior engineering staff
Perform tasks accurately and on time with necessary guidance, and proactively seek advice on tasks as needed
Meet task and project deadlines and adhere to budgeted hours
Participate in external/in-house seminars and training activities/sessions
Develop in-house design templates, checklist and standards
Bachelors in Architectural, Civil, or Structural Engineering, Masters preferred or equivalent work- and industry-related experience (as allowed under licensure by the state of Illinois).
3+ years of diverse project experience in building design
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Licensed Structural Engineer (SE) preferred, in State of Illinois
Experience in precast prestressed concrete design a HUGE plus
