Job Description:
A well-established and highly respected downtown San Diego law firm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Law Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of family law experience and be prepared to take on complex legal work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney seeking professional growth and high-level responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist supervising attorney in managing family law cases from inception to conclusion
Draft legal documents, including letters, pleadings, financial disclosures, mediation briefs, and trial briefs
Propound and respond to discovery, draft meet and confer letters, and prepare motions to compel
Prepare deposition outlines, exhibits, and conduct/defend depositions
Draft witness questions and assist in preparing for evidentiary hearings and trial
Conduct legal research and draft memorandums
Attend ex parte hearings, RFO hearings, and other court matters
Maintain routine client communication and engagement
Track and record billable time accurately
Qualifications:
Active and in good standing with the California State Bar
2+ years of relevant family law experience
Exceptional legal writing and oral advocacy skills
Strong analytical ability and attention to detail
Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities
Positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset
