Family Law Attorney - Hybrid

Location: San Diego, CA (Hybrid - onsite three days per week following training)
Job Type: Full-time
Salary Range: $130,000 - $160,000 annually (commensurate with experience; excellent opportunity for bonuses)

Job Description:
A well-established and highly respected downtown San Diego law firm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Law Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of family law experience and be prepared to take on complex legal work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney seeking professional growth and high-level responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist supervising attorney in managing family law cases from inception to conclusion

• Draft legal documents, including letters, pleadings, financial disclosures, mediation briefs, and trial briefs

• Propound and respond to discovery, draft meet and confer letters, and prepare motions to compel

• Prepare deposition outlines, exhibits, and conduct/defend depositions

• Draft witness questions and assist in preparing for evidentiary hearings and trial

• Conduct legal research and draft memorandums

• Attend ex parte hearings, RFO hearings, and other court matters

• Maintain routine client communication and engagement

• Track and record billable time accurately

Qualifications:

• Active and in good standing with the California State Bar

• 2+ years of relevant family law experience

• Exceptional legal writing and oral advocacy skills

• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail

• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities

• Positive attitude and a team-oriented mindset
