Lead Estimator - Commercial + Multifamily Construction in Memphis TN

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Estimator to join our team in the commercial and multifamily construction sector. The primary objective of this role is to accurately estimate project costs, ensuring that budgets align with client expectations and industry standards. The Lead Estimator will work closely with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and provide comprehensive bids. This position is in Memphis TN - relocation assistance is available if needed.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial and multifamily construction projects.
Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to understand project scope and requirements.
Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate pricing to achieve favorable terms for projects.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
Monitor and track project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budget.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior estimators on the team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of estimating experience in commercial and multifamily construction.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
