Project Manager - Mechanical - Mechanical, Manufacturing

Company Overview:

Located in the South Charlotte area, we are a well establish international sourcing company that specialized in custom manufacturing solutions. We have been around for over 30 years and continue to be a leading provider in the industry. We are looking for a an experience project manager to join our growing team. 

Position Overview:

A project manager is responsible for overseeing and managing projects from conception to completion with our manufacturing clients. This role requires strong leadership and organization skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience in international sourcing, coming from an engineering background that allows you to read and interpret manufacturing designs. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Work on transitioning international suppliers to new locations. 
• Source materials and equipment needed for the project from domestic and international suppliers.
• Read design for many existing parts and SKUs
• Create and maintain project documentation, including progress reports.
• Communicate with stakeholders to provide project updates and address any issues or concerns.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project management.
• Need to have experience with mechanical drawings, PPAP (Part Production Approval Process), APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance) knowledge and experience.
• Knowledge and experience in sourcing materials and working with international suppliers.
• Strong project engineering skills, with a focus on mechanical design and technical drawings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Experience with project management tools and software.
• Project management certification (PMP) is a plus.
