Position Overview:
This position is for a Purchasing Agent that will be responsible for all procurement, purchasing, inventory, and logistics activities. This individual should have expertise in vendor management, paint, inventory asset management, cost management, vendor selection, raw material procurement, shipping schedule management, purchase order management, and coating processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and optimize the entire procurement process, from vendor selection to ensuring the timely delivery of raw materials.
Work with vendors to ensure they are providing the best quality product at the best price.
Develop relationships with vendors to ensure quality and cost savings are achieved.
Negotiate pricing and delivery terms with vendors.
Create and manage purchase orders and ensure products are delivered on time.
Research new vendors and coordinate with existing vendors to ensure quality and pricing objectives are met.
Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate records.
Ensure the timely delivery of raw materials and goods.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, inventory management, and logistics.
Proven experience in vendor management, paint, inventory asset management, costs, vendor selection, raw material procurement, shipping schedule management, purchase order management, and coating processes.
Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
