Who you are:
Bachelors degree in engineering discipline, preferably mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in quality inspection preferred
Experience interfacing with customers and suppliers concerning product quality.
Working knowledge of ISO9001/AS9100 quality systems.
Must have production floor experience, including a solid understanding of GD&T.
Experience in root cause, corrective and preventative action and the ability to lead project teams and customers through the analysis.
Must have machined parts inspection background.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Experience in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement and strong problem-solving skills.
CMM Programming & troubleshooting skills a plus
5+ years of experience with PCDMIS preferred
What you will be doing:
Oversees and coordinates quality control activities and assures conforming product is processed timely meeting delivery expectations.
Actively participate in IPTs and FMEAs.
Supports our customer quality audits and participate in internal quality audits.
Participates in new product development and failure investigations.
Use Lean Manufacturing tools to improve quality and reduce defects.
Provide effective RCCA as required.
Interface and communicate effectively with a variety of personnel in support of production including operators, quality engineers, inspectors, shop floor supervisors, program managers, project engineers and design engineers.
Interface with suppliers and customers concerning program quality requirements.
Provides leadership and direction to inspection and calibration personnel
Oversees and coordinates activities to balance workload and achieve SQDC performance targets.
Oversee and coordinate inspection requirements in support of in-house machining.
