As a Senior Project Manager, you'll manage construction projects from proposal to completion. This role requires deep industry knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple project components. You'll ensure that all goals are met, including safety, quality, and team performance, across various projects. Oversee safety compliance and promote a culture of safety-first.
Manage project estimates, job cost spread, and financial aspects to ensure profitability.
Lead sequencing, scheduling, and resource allocation for multiple projects.
Monitor project progress and implement necessary changes.
Conduct detailed project cost reporting and financial management.
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable management.
Handle change order processes, including issuance, tracking, and cost management.
Act as the primary coordinator with general contractors/owners, ensuring clear communication and successful partnerships.
Assist with divisional reporting, including documentation of field time, productivity, materials, and safety.
Resolve project hurdles and negotiate with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
Conduct project health reviews, focusing on safety, quality, schedule, and financials.
Perform routine site visits and interface with field personnel.
Attend all necessary meetings punctually.
Assist the preconstruction team with project pursuits and proposals.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management (or a closely related field) with 8 years of industry experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Alternatively, 10+ years of relevant experience may be considered.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint).
Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, CMIC, or similar project management software.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead teams and present to stakeholders.
Must be able to travel up to 60% of the time.
Ability to work extended hours as needed.
Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Effective planning, resource management, and project scheduling abilities.
Attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Proactive in navigating complex construction schedules and identifying potential issues.
