Our Client is a venture backed start up that is building out a cutting edge payment processing application for the Adult Beverage industry.
Due to company growth they are seeking an experienced Android Developer (100% remote) to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a high-quality, mission-critical Android application using Kotlin and following best practices in mobile and point-of-sale development.

Design, develop, and implement a robust Android application using Kotlin
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Optimize application performance, user experience, and resource utilization
Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
Participate in the entire application lifecycle, including concept, design, testing, and deployment
Stay up-to-date with the latest Android development trends, tools, and technologies
Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and workflows
You will be successful here by:
5+ years of professional experience in Android application development using Kotlin
Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java programming languages
Solid understanding of Android SDK, Android Studio, and Android application architecture
Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and other data exchange formats
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Knowledge of Android development best practices, including UI/UX design principles
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Understanding of secure coding practices and application security principles
We're excited about you because:
Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems or related applications
Familiarity with reactive programming (RxJava, RxKotlin/Kotlin Flow)
Experience with Android Jetpack, Compose, ViewModel, WorkManager, LiveData, Databinding, Material, Room (and Sqlite), Lifecycle
Knowledge of dependency injection frameworks (e.g., Dagger, Koin)
Experience with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, AWS IOT Core)
Experience with MQTT (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport) protocol
Experience with payment processing and integration with payment gateways

Compensation is based on experience and technical skills fit. The range is $150k - $180k base + company equity
