We are seeking a Staff Accountant (Construction) to join our office in Framingham, MA
REPORTING FUNCTION:
Reports to the Division Controller
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION:
Maintaining financial records and ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded by performing monthly general ledger account reviews and reconciliations and assisting the Division Controller in overseeing the administrative, financial, and accounting functions of the domestic and overseas operations, actively participating in the development of both long and short-range plans of the division, and reporting to the Corporate Treasury Group and Division stakeholders.
TYPICAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Assist in the preparation of complex balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports for foreign branches and the US entity on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Assist with the monthly WIP revenue recognition process.
Perform monthly General Ledger account reviews and reconciliations. Prepare and enter accounts receivable entries, recurring journal entries, depreciation entries, cash transfer entries, accrual entries, reclass entries, and foreign and domestic petty cash account reconciliations.
Prepare State/Country specific tax filings for various states and Countries with the help of foreign tax experts.
Prepare and/or review weekly, monthly, and quarterly cash reporting for Corporate Treasury.
Setup new jobs, cost codes, and budgets, and perform ad hoc reporting and analysis for Operations and/or Estimating on an as needed basis.
Assist with internal and external audits.
Assist with the preparation of the annual budget forecast and quarterly revised forecasts.
Assist the Division Controller in the development of long and short range business plans.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Division Controller or Senior Management.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
This is a 100% onsite role and is located in Framingham, MA
4-year business/accounting /finance degree
Two or more years construction accounting experience preferred
Knowledge of general construction accounting, auditing, payroll, and invoicing
Good written and verbal communication skills
Excellent knowledge of Word and Excel
