Position Overview
The Controller will oversee all financial activities within the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards. This role is critical in managing the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing strategic financial guidance, and leading the finance team to support the organizations goals. Reports to the CFO.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and tax regulations.
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights and analysis to support strategic planning.
• Manage financial reporting, including preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
• Oversee auditing processes and act as a liaison with external auditors.
• Conduct financial analysis and variance analysis to monitor financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Implement and manage ERP systems for efficient financial operations and reporting.
• Supervise and mentor the finance team to enhance their skills and performance.
• Ensure effective cash flow management and cost control measures are in place.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role, preferably in an educational or private school setting but not required.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP, and tax compliance.
• Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis techniques.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial software.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a finance team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration and strategic planning.
